The Louisiana Department of Health and Hospitals (DHH) announced today the appointment of Tara LeBlanc as the Interim Assistant Secretary for the Department's Office of Aging and Adult Services (OAAS). LeBlanc previously served as the Department's Budget Director and most recently as the Deputy Assistant Secretary for OAAS.

The report was produced as a result of a six month study of long term care financing, including: research, analysis, presentations from subject matter experts, debate, discussion and dialogue among the members and stakeholders. The methodology of the work of the study group utilized consensus decision-making. While participants may not necessarily agree with every statement within the report, the report does reflect the overall consensus of the study group.

The Department of Health and Hospital's Louisiana Permanent Supportive Housing Program (PSH) was honored at a ceremony this week by receiving the 2013 Great Places in Louisiana Award for its efforts to improve the health and quality of life for individuals with disabilities. Members of the PSH team were honored by AARP, the Center for Planning Excellence and the Lt. Governor's Office in an award ceremony along with the City of Jena and New Orleans City Park.
