Level of Care Utilization System (LOCUS) Training for Behavioral Health Providers
LOCUS training is required for licensed mental health professionals who wish to administer this screening tool. These trainings will provide an overview of the LOCUS instrument and an opportunity for training participants to practice using the instrument to determine appropriate levels of care using standardized scenarios.
• Background and use of LOCUS
• Scoring the instrument using the dimensional rating system
• Determining the levels of care using the composite score and/or independent criteria
• Practice scenarios using the LOCUS
Registrants will need to download the LOCUS instrument via the American Association of Community Psychiatrists website and bring a copy of the tool to the training. The tool is available for download free of charge and will be needed during the training.
