According to Centers for Disease Prevention and Control data, Louisiana is among the states with the highest levels of flu activity so far this season. Because of this, the Louisiana Department of Health will be holding a flu vaccination day on December 13, 2018 parish health units across the state to allow people to get flu shots for no cost to the patient.
Take 3 Steps to Fight the Flu:
Vaccine providers who need help in finding a place to purchase influenza vaccine, to administer to their patients can go to the Influenza Vaccine Availability Tracking System (IVATS).  This website includes information from specific manufacturers and/or distributors who have vaccine still available.

2018 Influenza Prevention Materials

The Immunization Program (LOPH) has produced Influenza Prevention posters and mirror stickers. Follow these  simple instructions:

  • Purchase the blank stickers. 
  • Download both the Poster and Mirror sticker template.
  • Once the blank stickers arrive, print them on your color printer using your printer settings for Online Labels sticker template OL805.
  • The 8.5 x 11 poster can be printed directly from the .pdf, and then laminated/posted.
