MPox
CDC is closely tracking cases of mpox recently detected in the United States. As part of this 2022 U.S. Mpox Outbreak, the Louisiana Department of Health (LDH) identified its first case of mpox in a Louisiana resident on July 7, 2022.
The LDH Office of Public Health Region 3 serves the residents of the river and bayou parishes of southeast Louisiana: Assumption, Lafourche, St. Charles, St. James, St. John, St. Mary, and Terrebonne parishes.
Working with our local and parish partners, we provide a wide range of healthcare services at our Parish Health Units as well as through various outreach programs.
