Secure .gov websites use HTTPS LDH is moving forward with a plan to distribute food benefits on EBT cards tomorrow. If the USDA, who administers the SNAP program, is prepared and ready to move money into states’ accounts this evening, we will use federal dollars to fund SNAP recipients’ accounts. If they are not ready, LDH will proceed with our state-funded program to provide food assistance to the elderly, the disabled, and households with children through their existing EBT cards.
Elementary State Championship Fitness Meet

The top two boys and girls from each parish will compete for the State Championship to see which parish is the most physically fit. Lafayette parish won the event last year but Rapides, Beauregard and St. Tammany will rival the defending champs. Parish champs will participate in seven fitness-related events: 50-yard dashes, shuttle run, pull-ups, Standing Long-jump, curl-ups, the 600-yard run and the v-sit and reach. We also crown Mr. and Miss fitness for the top boy and girl in this event.
