The Louisiana Department of Health, Bureau of Health Services Financing has submitted Final Rules to the Office of the State Register for publication in the May 20, 2018 edition of the Louisiana Register in accordance with the provisions of the Administrative Procedure Act, R.S. 49:950 et seq.
Amends the provisions governing the reimbursement methodology for Intermediate Care Facilities for Individuals with Intellectual Disabilities (ICFs/IID) in order to: 1) clarify the provisions governing cost reports to align the direct care floor requirements for pervasive plus supplemental payments and complex care add-on payments with current practices; 2) require the annual renewal of the complex care add-on rate and submission of the associated documentation; and 3) eliminate the qualifying loss review requirement.
Amends the provisions governing the licensing standards for home and community-based services (HCBS) providers in order to clarify the requirements for contract services to ensure that HCBS providers utilize contractors and/or subcontractors in compliance with all state and federal requirements.
The May 2018 Legislative Oversight Committee reports have been submitted to the respective legislative oversight committees in accordance with R.S. 49:968(D)(1)(b)(c)
The Louisiana Department of Health will begin mailing notices tomorrow to nearly 37,000 Medicaid enrollees informing them their eligibility may end on July 1, 2018.
Tomorrow, Jay Dardenne, commissioner of the Division of Administration, and Dr. Rebekah Gee, secretary of the Louisiana Department of Health (LDH), will hold a press conference to discuss the state’s timeline for issuing notices this week to people who are at immediate risk of losing the coverage that pays for their care in a nursing home, group home or home-based services.
Repeals the provisions governing the Pediatric Day Health Care Program in order to terminate these services.
Amends the provisions governing the reimbursement methodology for nursing facility services in order to eliminate payments for leave of absence days for patients who are on leave due to hospitalization or visits to home and/or family members.
Amends the provisions governing the reimbursement methodology for nursing facilities in order to suspend the provisions of LAC 50:II.Chapter 200 governing the rebasing methodology and trending requirements for nursing facility rates and to impose provisions to ensure that the current rates in effect do not increase for the SFY 2018-2019 rating period.
Repeals the provisions of the March 20, 1986 Rule governing Medicaid Eligibility for recipients of long-term care and home and community-based services in order to terminate the optional Medicaid Special Income Level eligibility group coverage.
