Amends the provisions governing the Nursing Aide Training and Competency Evaluation Program in order to update the licensing requirements for medication attendants certified that provide services in licensed long-term care facilities, in compliance with Act 112 of the 2022 Regular Session of the Louisiana Legislature.
Amends the provisions governing inpatient hospital services in order to expand the qualifications for classification as a teaching hospital to include facilities that have documented affiliation agreements with Louisiana medical schools accredited by the Commission of Osteopathic College Accreditation, in compliance with Act 152 of the 2022 Regular Session of the Louisiana Legislature.
Amends the provisions governing the licensing of adult residential care providers in order to update the definitions and requirements for medication administration, and to remove the facility need review requirement, in compliance with Acts 112 and 531 of the 2022 Regular Session of the Louisiana Legislature.

The Louisiana Department of Health's (LDH) Office of Public Health (OPH) in Southwest Louisiana (Region 5) will host a drive-thru flu vaccination clinic at our Calcasieu Parish Health Unit (PHU) on October 10 to encourage everyone to get their flu shot. COVID-19 vaccines, both the primary series and the COVID-19 bivalent booster, as well as the monkeypox vaccine, will also be available.
The drive-thru vaccination clinics will be at Union Parish Health Unit in Farmerville, Jackson Parish Health Unit in Jonesboro, Morehouse Parish Health Unit in Bastrop, and Ouachita Parish Health Unit in Monroe
