Note: The Manufacturer (or authorized representative, as appropriate, authorized by the department) shall be responsible for the proper use and care of tags, once provided by the Office of Public Health.

Why are Sewerage Treatment Plant Identification Tags important?

Tags are used to identify an approvable individual-type sewerage system. The specific tag number is listed on the Permit for Onsite Wastewater System issued by the Louisiana Department of Health Office of Public Health for a specific system.

Note: Tags are not a marketable or transferable item and any individual sewerage system installed in the State of Louisiana without the Sewage Identification Tag cannot and shall not be approved.

Who can purchase Sewerage Treatment Plant Identification Tags?

Licensed Manufacturers (or an authorized representative, as appropriate, authorized by the department) can purchase tags.
