Baton Rouge – The Department of Health and Hospitals has experienced an enormous response from medical volunteers across the country to assist in Louisiana’s recovery efforts following Hurricane Katrina.
Baton Rouge –Dialysis services in the New Orleans area have been greatly disrupted by the recent events surrounding Hurricane Katrina. Patients on dialysis must continue to get treatment. If your usual dialysis unit is closed, you should call 504-338-4267 or 985-537-6903 to arrange treatment.

Baton Rouge – State health officials have issued an update to conditions of water systems in Southeast Louisiana that were seriously impacted by Hurricane Katrina. Boil orders have been lifted for some parish water systems. The boil orders, which were issued after a loss of pressure occurred in those systems, have been lifted since testing showed the water does not contain unsafe levels of bacteria and is safe to drink and use.
