Beneficiary Advisory Council (BAC) Membership Application

The Beneficiary Advisory Council (BAC) will be an advisory group comprised of Louisiana Medicaid members, their families, and/or their caregivers. The purpose of the BAC is for individuals with Medicaid-lived experience to advise the Louisiana Department of Health (LDH) on matters related to Louisiana Medicaid policy and program development and implementation.

The BAC’s first meeting is estimated to occur in the beginning of Summer 2025. Exact meeting dates will be posted when finalized. The BAC will meet four times per year, with options for either in-person or Zoom attendance.

LDH also has a Medical Advisory Committee (MAC) and at least 10% of the MAC will consist of those selected to serve as BAC members. For those BAC members also serving on the MAC, there will be an additional four meetings per year. For more information about the MAC, please visit this page.

LDH invites Louisiana Medicaid members, their families, and/or their caregivers to apply to join the BAC by completing the application below. For any questions or comments, please email qualitycommittee@la.gov.
