June 2024 Final Rules
The Louisiana Department of Health, Bureau of Health Services Financing has submitted Final Rules to the Office of the State Register for publication in the June 20, 2024 edition of the Louisiana Register in accordance with the provisions of the Administrative Procedure Act, R.S. 49:950 et seq.

EBR Parish Health Unit temporarily closing June 5-13 for storm-related repairs
The health unit building is expected to reopen Thursday, June 13, pending the completion of building repairs.

RFI: Licensed Adult Residential Care Facility "Transitional Housing"
The purpose of this RFI is to solicit proposal information from qualified potential responders that can provide a Licensed Adult Residential Care Facility (18 and over) location that will act as transitional housing for the Severely/Persistently Mentally Ill (S/PMI) individuals with an array of services to those individuals discharging from facilities or accept referrals from all regions of the state, including State institutional care facilities, public and private hospitals, other state partners, community based service providers, legislators on behalf of constituents and family members.

LDH confirms three storm-related deaths in St. Martin and West Baton Rouge parishes
These are the only storm-related, accidental deaths LDH has confirmed as a result of the May 13 storms to date.

Medicaid Eligibility Wage Checks Resume in May
In May 2024, Louisiana Medicaid is restarting eligibility wage checks to verify that Medicaid members continue to meet income requirements. Wage checks will be conducted every three months. This is in addition to yearly renewals.

Adopts provisions governing qualifying criteria and reimbursement methodology for high Medicaid utilization academic hospitals to increase payments for outpatient hospital services.
