Food Safety Certification

LDH-approved providers teach the eight-hour Food Safety Manager Course and proctor the ANSI Approved Exam for the Food Safety Manager Certification (Prerequisite requirement for "gold seal" LDH Food Safety Manager Certificate).

Certificates not accepted by our office:

  • Food Handler Certificate,
  • Food Safety Manager Certificates valid only in other states
  • Certificate of Completion for Food Safety Manager Course

Apply

Application for a Food Safety Manager Certificate requires a copy of the Food Safety Manager Certification from the testing company for new certificates, and company check or money order payment (Cash, temporary checks, and payments with incomplete/incorrect information are not accepted).

Online applications require credit card payment, and an electronic copy of Food Safety Manager Certification for new certificates. Online application instructions here.
